Cable Knit Arm Warmers

Cable Knit Arm Warmers:

I wanted to start a blog about knitting projects that I've chosen to take on, and I haven't posted anything since Christmas!

Better late than never, I guess.

I'd like to start by saying that I don't want to take credit for anyone's work, and any pics I use will have links under them. I also apologize if I link anything that isn't free to use, like my beard-pattern post from Christmas, but it was super cheap, so deal with it (lol).

So, here is a pattern I came across, and really liked. I've always liked cables in knitting, and I also like the look of arm warmers, and this pattern satisfied my needs!
Here's the link below, and it's free via Ravelry.com:

(Following images are mine. I like this yarn a lot.) :)

I've made one arm, and am currently working on the other arm warmer. I used size 5 dpn, and cast on 44 sts total, but this was because I have small hands and wrists. I used a yarn I found at Pat Catans (an Ohio chain of craft stores), and all I can say about the yarn is that it's mixed fibers (acrylic, nylon, polyester) from Fashion Plus.

The length can be however long you want, but I like it going 3/4's of the way up the arm.

I am excited to try another pattern, which I'll post about another time, and this source is from a book. I highly encourage anyone to check out this book, which is in the link below:

Hope you enjoyed this post, and find it useful! Happy knitting!
